ISLAMABAD: Led by Secretary General CDA Labor Union Ch. Muhammad Yasin, a delegation visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) on Sunday to congratulate the new Office Bearers of Chamber and assured all possible cooperation to ICCI for resolving the CDA related key issues of the business community.
The delegation comprised Aurangzeb Khan President, Umar Jiwana Vice President and others. Addressing the delegation, President ICCI Muhammad Shakeel Munir said that CDA Board in August 2020 had taken a decision to allow renewal of industrial plots @ Rs.100,000/per kanal, but it has not been implemented as yet because the decision was forwarded to National Coordination Committee on Housing, Construction & Development for endorsement. He said that CDA was an independent authority and it should immediately implement its Board decision to resolve the longstanding issue of lease renewal of industrial plots.
The ICCI President said that roads in industrial areas including Kahuta industrial triangle were badly broken and urged that CDA should focus on better development of markets and industrial areas to facilitate the growth of business activities. He thanked the CDA Labor Union delegation for visiting ICCI and assured that the Chamber would extend all possible support to the Union in its efforts for the welfare of CDA laborers.
Chairman Founder Group, Mian Akram Farid said that the business community and CDA were key stakeholders in the development of the federal capital and close cooperation between them was important for growth of business activities and development of Islamabad. He said that CDA employees could play a vital role in resolving the issues of the business community. He proposed that a joint committee of ICCI and CDA Union should be formed to address issues of business activities with joint efforts.
He also lauded the role of CDA laborers for improving greenery in Islamabad. Jamshaid Akhtar Sheikh Senior Vice President, Faheem Khan Vice President ICCI, Ejaz Abbasi, Baser Daud, Muhammad Naveed, Khalid Chaudhry and others also spoke at the occasion and lauded the efforts of Ch. Muhammad Yaseen for protecting the interests of CDA employees.
