ISLAMABAD: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Thursday approved the establishment of 132 KV Grid Station to provide uninterrupted power supply to the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Bin Qasim Industrial Park (BQIP) Karachi, Sindh.
As per the proposal, the project entitled “Establishment of 132 KV Grid Station at BQIP Industrial Park Karachi Sindh” is to be financed through Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) with the total cost of PKR 3601.304 million. The project aims to provide uninterrupted power supply at affordable rates to the SEZ of BQIP. The 132 KV grid station would increase capacity in the available system to meet further load growth and improve voltage profile around the proposed BQIP substation.
CDWP meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Dr. Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan to discuss development projects related to energy, food, transport & communicational and water sectors. Additional Secretary Dawood Muhammad Barech and senior officers of Planning Ministry also attended the meeting.
