On 17th August 2020, an exclusive interview was released by the Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS) regarding the legacy of the First Mughal Emperor, Zaheer Ud- Din Babur.
The guest speaker of the interview program was Brigadier Akhtar Nawaz Janjua (Retd), Senior Member Advisory Board, CGSS, and an Expert Analyst on Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Central Asia. He spoke about the legacy of ZaheerUd-Din Muhammad Babur,cherished by the people in both countries, Pakistan and Uzbekistan. He also provided a detailed account of the circumstances that forced Babur to migrate from Central Asia to Sub-Continent. Furthermore, he mentioned how a common ruler assisted in shaping the bilateral relations of Pakistan and Uzbekistan and how it will further help in strengthening the already fraternal relations. Additionally, Brigadier Janjua (Retd) also explained how a common ruler has led to various cultural commonalities present between both, Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
