Child abuser brought to book

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has successfully apprehended an accused involved in a case of child abuse and obtained his remand from the relevant court for further investigation.
According to details, on 27 July 2024, the Sihala police team received information from a plaintiff who stated that his 12-year-old nephew was sexually assaulted by an accused named Danish Ali.
Upon receiving the information, the Sihala police team registered Case No. 160 under Section 376(iii)/377-B. The DIG Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, took immediate notice of the sexual abuse case and directed the officers to apprehend the culprit on a priority basis.
A specialized police team was formed under the supervision of the SSP Investigation. The SSOIU and Sihala police teams utilized all scientific and technical resources and successfully apprehended the accused involved in this case. The police teams also obtained a physical remand of the accused, and further investigation is underway.
The DIG Islamabad appreciated the performance of the police team and emphasized that crimes of this nature against women and children are utterly unacceptable and that those responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
