BEIJING: China and Cambodia have strengthened coordination and achieved fruitful results through all-round cooperation, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Thursday.
Wang made the remarks at the sixth Meeting of the China-Cambodia Intergovernmental Coordination Committee in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, along with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong.
Noting that next year will mark the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, Wang said that China is willing to work with Cambodia in serving respective development and contributing to regional development and prosperity.
Hor Namhong said that Cambodia firmly pursues the one-China policy, firmly supports the Global Development Initiative and Global Security Initiative put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and wishes the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) a success.
The two sides hailed the achievements in implementing the action plan for building the China-Cambodia community with a shared future.
The two sides also reach consensus on the cooperation plan in the future, such as maintaining high-level strategic coordination, strengthening cooperation in ensuring political security, and consolidating practical cooperation.
After the meeting, the two sides jointly announced the signing of cooperation documents on human resources and infrastructure.
