CIA busts dacoit’s gang

-4 caught, Gold ornaments & cash recovered

ISLAMABAD: Criminal Investigation Agency; CIA of Capital Cops busted four dacoits including two Afghan national and recovered gold ornaments, foreign currency, cash, mobile phones, laptops, wrist watches, motorbikes and weapons from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminals including those involved in dacoity incidents. Following these directives, DIG Operations directed all zonal offices to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Following these directions, SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including SI Asim Ali Zaidi along with others. The given team nabbed four members of a dacoit’s gang later identified as Sher Agha and Tehseen belonging to Afghanistan along Waheed Gul and Nader Khan, residents of Peshawar. Gold ornaments currency, cash, mobile phones, laptops, wrist watches, motorbike and weapons were also recovered from their possession.
Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused confessed of their involvement in incidents of dacoity in twin cities and their surrounding areas. Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway from the accused.
DIG Operations, on the other hand, has appreciated the overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
