CIA busts notorious gang of street crooks

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops’ Criminal Investigation Agency; CIA, busted a notorious gang of street criminals while recovering snatched mobile phones and arms from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad; Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar had ordered crackdown against criminals, especially those engaged in street crimes. In compliance to the orders, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed directed all zonal officers to curb crime in the city warning that no laxity whatsoever would be tolerated in this regard.
Following the given directives, SP Investigation Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan. The team included ASI Sadeer Ahmad along with other cop officials. Through undying efforts, the given team bore results and busted a 5-member street criminals’ gang, here this Tuesday.
The arrested accused were later identified as Nazam-ud-din resident of Golra Sharif, Afghan national Saeed Ahmad, Touqeer Ahmad resident of Pind Sanghrial, Sabber Ali resident of G-11 and Shahid also resident of sector G-11. Cops also recovered 8 snatched cell phones, arms and ammunition from their possession. Moreover, the caught crooks, during preliminary investigation, have further confessed of their involvement in several incidents reported at PS Ramna, PS Golra and PS Shalimar.
A case has been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed have appreciated the overall performance of CIA cops team while announcing commendation certificates and cash rewards
