ISLAMABAD: Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has nabbed wanted member of street criminal’s gang along a proclaimed offender and recovered snatched motorbike, valuables and weapons from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminals including those involved in dacoity incidents. Following these orders, DIG Operations has directed all zonal offices to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Following these directions, SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted special team under supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including SI Mushtaq Ahmed, ASI Mohsin along with others. The team nabbed a wanted member of street criminal gang identified as Akash Massaih resident of District Gujarat(PO) and proclaimed offender Ghulam Nabi resident of Golrar Islamabad. Police team recovered snatched motorbike, mobile phone, valuables and weapons from their possession.
During preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in incidents of dacoity in various areas of Secretariat, Khanna, Margalla and Golra Police Stations. Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
DIG Operations has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.

| Cache of narcotics, weapons recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops on Tuesday arrested 18 outlaws including six proclaimed offenders from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, heroin, alcohol and weapons from their possession.
Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan and DIG Operations all officials of Islamabad Police have accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers.
Following these directions, Kohsar police arrested three accused namely Ishaq Khan, Shahid and Irfan Masih and recovered 1.400 kilogram hashish, 350 gram heroin and 20 liter alcohol from their possession. Ramana police arrested accused Ghulam Noor and recovered 200 gram heroin from him. Industrial Area police apprehended two accused Junaid Masih and Shaukat Masih and recovered 260 gram hashish from their possession. Shams colony police apprehended a drug peddler namely Nazar Ali and recovered 1050 gram hashish from him. Shahzad Town police arrested accused Waqar and recovered 113 gram heroin from him. Khanna police apprehended two accused Umair and Arslan and recovered 1.780 kilogram hashish, two Kalashnikovs, two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession.
Koral police arrested two accused Zafar Iqbal and Idrees and recovered 500 gram heroin from their possession. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. During special crackdown against absconders, Islamabad police nabbed six proclaimed offenders and court absconders from various area of the city.
DIG Operations has appreciated this performance and directed all Station House Officers for effective crackdown against that involvement in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis. The DIG also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
