ISLAMABAD: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police got success and arrested 243 outlaws during the last 03 months.
CIA police also recovered looted items worth Rs. 14.97 million including gold ornaments, laptops, mobile phones, vehicles, motorcycles, weapons and drugs.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas had assigned task to the CIA police to arrest those involved in heinous as well as street crimes and recover the looted items. While sharing the performance of CIA police of last three months, the SSP Investigation told that the CIA teams conducted massive crackdown against the criminals and succeeded to apprehend 243 criminals during last three months.
Police teams also recovered 34 pistols, 8100 gram hashish, 180 liter liquor and ammunition, the spokesperson added. Investigations on 134 cases were also completed and their challans were submitted in relevant courts while 64 accused of 23 criminal gangs were also busted.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas had appreciated the overall performance and said it was the prime responsibility of police to provide relief to citizens and every possible effort would be made to ensure it. The IGP maintained that the CIA wing of Islamabad police is very active against criminals and it got success during ongoing year in curbing the crime from the city. Islamabad police would not leave any stone unturned to curb the crime from the city and to secure the life and property of the citizens.
