Citizens urged to ensure precautionary measures before leaving to hometowns

ISLAMABAD: DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari issued an important message for the federal capital residents traveling to their hometowns during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
In his video message, the DIG Operations Islamabad said that, the Islamabad Capital Police is continuously engaged in ensuring the safety of residents’ lives, property, and dignity.
He further said that, citizens leaving for Eid holidays should leave their homes with appropriate security arrangements, ensure proper lighting inside and outside the house, lock the main gate from the inside, and install CCTV cameras around the house. Ensures proper arrangements for the safekeeping of valuable items such as jewelry and cash, checks locks and doors before leaving the house, and informs the newspaper vendor not to throw newspapers at the house when leaving. They should also refrain from activities that indicate their absence from home, he added.
At the end, he said that, before leaving citizens must inform the relevant police station, lock all windows, doors, and open areas properly.
