THATTA: It was reported that seven children drowned while bathing in the Indus river on Friday. Residents of the area recovered the bodies of the children before Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and asked the commissioner to submit a report in this regard.
The tragic incident took place in the Indus River near Jhirk area of Thatta. The children were bathing in the river to fend off the heat. Locals have recovered the bodies of the children and shifted them to Jhirk Hospital.
Taking notice of the incident, the Chief Minister has sought a report from Commissioner Hyderabad. Syed Murad Ali Shah has expressed concern at the incident and inquired how this incident took place.
The Sindh Chief Minister has directed that all possible cooperation be extended to the parents of the children as it is a deeply sad and painful time for them.
