BEIJING: A cold front is expected to sweep most central and eastern regions of China in the next three days, bringing plunging temperatures and strong winds, the national observatory forecast on Saturday. The cold front will cause temperatures to fall by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius in parts of the Guizhou and Sichuan provinces as well as areas in northwestern, northern and southern China, with some regions expecting temperature plunges of up to 10 degrees Celsius during the period, according to the National Meteorological Center. The center also forecast heavy rains for some regions in northeast, northwest and southwest China on Saturday and Sunday, with some areas in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the provinces of Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, Anhui, Jiangsu, Yunnan and Hainan expecting rainstorms. – Agencies
