Comprehensive security arrangements made for Jumma-tul-Wida

ISLAMABAD: Comprehensive security arrangements were made for the Jumma-tul-Wida and Quds Day rally in the federal capital, Islamabad. In this regard, more than 2,000 officers of Islamabad Police performed their duties and ensured effective security arrangements and traffic flow.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi had issued directives to all senior police officers to ensure effective security and traffic flow. He, along with DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and other senior police officers, also reviewed the security arrangements for Jumma-tul-Wida gatherings and the Quds Day rally across the city.
He met with the officers and personnel assigned to security duty and commended them for performing their duties diligently. Islamabad Police made special security arrangements at all mosques and Imambargahs, including Faisal Mosque, on the occasion of Jumma-tul-Wida.
Effective surveillance was carried out on the entrance and exit routes of the city, while effective patrols and special checkpoints were also set up across the city.
Earlier, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, along with senior police officers, broke the fast with officers at the Police Lines Headquarters. He reviewed the food and arrangements provided for the iftar.
He also attended the Khatm-e-Quran ceremony at the Police Lines Headquarters Jamia Masjid. Gifts were distributed among the Huffaz and children who had the privilege of reciting the Holy Quran during Taraweeh prayers. Special prayers were also offered for the security and stability of the country and nation, along with the police officers and personnel.
On this occasion, he said, “These brave officers and personnel of mine are fully engaged in ensuring the security of the city, away from their homes and loved ones. It is because of them that all citizens can sleep peacefully. As Commander of Islamabad Police, I am proud of my officers and personnel.”
