Comprehensive security plan finalized for Shab-e-Barat

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, the Islamabad Police has developed a detailed security plan for the security of Shab-e-Barat. As per the plan, over 1,000 police officers and personnel will be deployed to ensure security.
Under this plan, strict security arrangements have been made across the federal capital, and all concerned SHOs have been issued special instructions. During Shab-e-Barat, armed, plainclothes, and lady police officers, along with commandos, will perform their duties. To ensure smooth traffic flow, Islamabad Traffic Police officers and personnel will also be deployed.
All participants will be subjected to special checks using walk through gates and metal detectors. Effective monitoring of all city entry and exit points will be carried out, and different areas will be checked using bomb disposal squads.
Special teams have also been assigned for patrolling various sectors and rural areas of Islamabad. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza stated that the protection of citizens lives and property is the highest priority, and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
