‘Constantly delivering, working for betterment of Pakistan Cricket’

Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Wasim Khan has stated that the cricket board is constantly working and delivering for the betterment of Pakistan cricket.
CEO PCB emphasized that they are trying to build professionalism in the PCB and thinks that people’s perception of the cricket board will keep changing when you deliver.
“We have tried to change the perception about the PCB but according to me, perception changes when you deliver,” Wasim said in an exclusive interview on ARY News morning show, Bakhabar Savera.
“We set our goals two years ago. We planned to bring Test cricket back, we delivered. We aimed to bring Pakistan Super League (PSL) back in the country completely and we delivered that too,” he added.
Wasim talked about himself as people had a doubt regarding his abilities that he is not aware of the culture of Pakistan cricket.
“There was a lot of skepticism about me but my goal has been always to change perceptions by turning them into reality and people can see now that we are delivering for the betterment of Pakistan cricket,” he maintained.
Wasim revealed the details about how England confirmed their official tour and added that besides England top international teams are lined up to tour Pakistan.
“We started the talks regarding England’s tour six months ago. We were aiming for a window in January 2021 but logistically it couldn’t work and decided they will come with a full-strength squad in October,” he added.
“In the next 24 months, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia are also coming,” he maintained. Note, England confirmed their tour of Pakistan yesterday. They will arrive in Karachi on October 12 and will play two T20Is on October 14 and 15 at National Stadium.
