ISLAMABAD: A police team was fired upon, at some PS Sabzi Mandi jurisdiction area, as they stopped a suspiscious vehicle for inspection.
According to details, a police team stopped a suspicious vehicle for inspection, at PS Sabzi Mandi jurisdiction area. However, the latter first resisted and then opened fire upon the cops injuring one in the process. One of the crooks was also injured through crossfire.
The cops have arrested both the culprits along arms. It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested accused had past criminal record and had been involved in several dacoities.
A pedestrian also died in the encounter. Further legal proceedings are underway. Cops have further adviced citizens to call Pukar-15 helpline in face of any emergency.
