ISLAMABAD: A cop was injured in firing of drug peddler, during a special operation, at PS Nilore jurisdiction area, here this Tuesday. DSP Operations Waqar-ud-Din Saeed has taken note of the incident while tasking SP Rural Amjad Farooq Buttar to arrest the culprits at immediate basis.
Acording to details, Head Constable Afzal, Constable Raqeeb and Constable Athar were on routine patrol on the bikes when around Jharpul area, they encountered drug peddler Safaras alias Kodo. Cops ran afer the given crook a which, he opened fire. A bullet caught Head Constable Afzal on the forehead, critically injuring him in the process. He was instantly shifted to PIMS where his operation was underway till filing of this report.
Cops are hunting everywhere for the culprit so that he can be arrested and brought to book.
