ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Homicide Unit and PS Noon, applying technology and modern means of investigation, booked a criminal, involved in a murder case, here this Friday.
According to details, complainant Ghulam Sarwar resident of Raza Town, Jhugi Syedan, lodged a report with PS Noon that his 22-year old son Umair Sarwar, was injured through firing by Irfan Shan. The victim later succumbed to his injuries at PIMS Hospital. Following this complaint, PS Noon registered a case under section 302 PPC and started investigating the case.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed took notice of this complaint and directed SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmed Sheikh to ensure arrests of the culprit involved in the given murder. An investigation team under the supervision of DSP Ghulam Muhammad Baqir, was constituted, which included Inspector Homicide Unit Inspector Aslam Kalyar, PS Noons SHO SI Abdul Razzaq and other police personnel.
The team conducted raids on different locations and finally succeeded to arrest the culprit through employing technology and modern means of investigation. It is pertinent to mention here that the assassin Irfran Shah has prior criminal record. Further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar and DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed have appreciated police performance while announcing cash prizes and commendation certificates for the entire team.
