Cops bust 3 fraudsters

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops have arrested three fraudsters from the area of Tarnol police station, said the officials on Sunday.
According to the details, on the directions of DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmad Kousar, SSP Investigation Atta-ur-Rehman had directed the concerned police officials to apprehend those involved in plundering people by impersonating anti-corruption and police officials. Led by DSP CIA Hakam Khan, a team comprising of Sub-inspector Mushtaq Ahmed, ASI Mohsin Ali Khan, arrested 3 fraudsters including the ringleader from the area of Tarnol police station. The accused have been identified as Muhammad Tariq son of Muhammad Yousuf resident of Mohra, Sagri, tehsil and district Islamabad ringleader; Yasir Mahmood son of Mir Afsar resident of Murree and Gulistan Abbasi son of Muhammad Yaqoob resident of Murree. The police have recovered looted cash Rs 10,23,000, bogus service cards and other items from them. Tarnol police have registered a case against the accused under section 406, 170, 171, 34, 411 of the PPC and further investigation is underway. The DIG and SSP have appreciated the police performance and announced cash prizes and commendations certificates for them.
