Cops bust gang of dacoits

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops’ PS Tarnol, while operating against anti-social elements, busted a gang, involved in numerous incidents of dacoitees and street crimes, while recoving snatched cash, mobile phones, bike and weapons from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan had ordered crackdown against criminals especially those involved in crime of heinous nature. Thus, following these orders, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts in curbing crime in the city warning that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard.
Therefore SP Saddar Muhammad Omer Khan constituted special teams under the supervision of SDPO Khalid Mehmood Awan including PS Tarnol’s SHO Inspector Arashad Ali and ASI Muhammad Ishaq along with other officials. Police team successfully busted three members of a dacoit and street criminal’s gang who were later identified as Haider Ali, Muhammad Hamza and Tayyab Shehzad, residents of Loser Sherfoo, Wah Cant, Rawalpindi. four snatched mobile phone, cash, 108 cartridges of klashnikov, two 30-bore pistols along with ammunition and one mtorbike were also recovered from their possession.
Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused have confessed of their involement in several dacoity and street crime instances at various parts of Hassan Abdal, Taxila, Wah Cant and Rawalpindi. Cases have been registered against them while further investigation is underway. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the overall performance of PS Tarnol Police and announced commendation certificates along with cash rewards for the cops who arrested the given gangsters.
