Cops bust scammer involved in fraudulent schemes

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Noon Police Station team has arrested an accused involved in defrauding citizens by promising overseas employment and immigration opportunities. The accused was also found in possession of illegal weapons. The arrested accused has been identified as Makhdoomzada Abdul Karim.
The accused deceived multiple individuals by offering jobs and opportunities to travel abroad, extorting large sums of money in the process. FIRs have been registered, and further investigation is underway.
Action was taken following special directives from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of an ongoing crackdown on criminal elements and fraudsters operating in the federal capital.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq emphasized that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the top priority of the Islamabad Police. “Those who exploit or defraud the public will not escape the law,” he stated. He urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to their local police station or call the emergency helpline ‘Pukar-15’ to help eradicate crime through joint efforts between the police and the public.
