Cops catch nine with hashish, valuables

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops caught nine outlaws from various parts of the city and recovered hashish, valuable and weapons from them.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminals, specially those involved in drug peddling and criminal activities. Following these orders DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb crime in the city without any laxity in this regard.
Thus, SP Saddar constituted a special team under the supervision of ASP Rana Abdul Wahab headed by PS Shalimar’s SHO SI Sulman Shah, SIs Azher Mehmood, Bilal Ahmed and others, which arrested four drug peddlers later identified as Adnan Haider, Nadeem Rabani, Samiullah and Asif. 2.500 kilograms of hashish was also recovered from their possession. The said team While police team also caught three accused identified as Abdul Rehman, Asif and Sanaullah, involved in theft and recovered stolen property worth Rs.2, 50,000 from their possession. A Case has been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, PS Koral’s SHO Inspector Asjad Mehmood, Homicide SI Ghulam Rasool along with others succeeded to apprehend a killer namely Ghufran Hussain while PS Koral teams also held accused Muhammad Yahya alias Guddu and recovered one pistol along with ammunition from him. Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further Investigation is underway from them.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed, on the other hand, appreciated this performance and directed for further effective measures against those involved in anti-social activities.
