ISLAMABAD: Criminal Investigation Agency; CIA of Capital Cops nabbed two gangsters involved in street crime and recovered 15 stolen mobile phones, laptop, motorbike and weapons from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminals including those involved in street crimes. Following these orders, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed directed all zonal offices to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Following these directions, SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including ASI Jafer Ali along with others. The team caught two gangsters involved in dacoities and street crimes. Moreover, the crooks have been identified as Waqas Ahmed s/o Mehmood Ahmed resident of Taxla Rawalpindi and Qasim Zia s/o Zia Muhammad resident of resident of Taxla Rawalpindi. The cops’ team also recovered 15 stolen mobile phones, laptop, motorbike and weapons along with ammunition from them. During preliminary investigation, the culprits have confessed of their involvement in incidents of crime in the city and it’s surroundings along with their other accomplices. Further investigation is underway from the accused. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
Bike lifter busted red-handed

ISLAMABAD: Industrial Area Cops held a wanted member of bike lifting gang and recovered six stolen motorcycles worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from him. Following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed assigned the task to SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmed Sheikh, to accelerate efforts against bike lifters. Following his directions, a special team was constituted under the supervision of ASP Zohaib Nasrullah Ranjha including PS’s Industrial Area’s SHO Khurram Shehzad, ASI Raza Muhammad and others. The given team apprehended a bike lifter red-handed who was identified as Shan Maseeh and recovered six stolen motorbikes from him. During preliminary investigation, he confessed to lift these motorcycles from various areas of Islamabad and further investigation is underway from him to nab his other accomplices. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the performance of PS Industrial Area team and directed the officials to intensify efforts to curb car and motorbike lifting incidents.
