ISLAMABAD: The hoax call was made with Islamabad capital police helpline Pucar-15 for a snatching incident in the precincts of Tarnol Police Station.
During the call a citizen informed the police that an accused had deprived him of 01 lac rupees in the jurisdiction of Tarnol Police Station.
The senior police officers and Tarnol police station team rushed to the spot to collect evidence. After a thorough investigation, and going through the CCTV footage the call of the citizen was found fake, on which legal action was initiated. The accused was identified as Babar Ali. Police team registered a case against him and started further investigation.
During the preliminary investigation the accused confessed that he was involved in monetary disputes with a friend so he created a false plot of snatching after dialing a hoax call at police helpline Pucar-15. CPO Operations has appealed to the citizens to refrain from making hoax calls as it not only wastes the time of police but can put someone’s life at risk.
