Cops recover ransom money from kidnappers

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, recovered Rs, 100,000 ransom money from four suspects, during investigation who allegedly kidnapped Farhan Khalid at gunpoint last month and took him to Rahimyar Khan.

According to police, SSP Operations Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted a special team under the supervision of SP I.Area including ASP Industrial Area Abdul Aleem, SHO Industrial Area and other cops. The cops rescued the abductee after arresting the kidnappers during the past month. The police team also recovered a vehicle and weapon used in crime from the accused later identified as Muazzam Qureshi, Basharat Ali, Muhammad Irfan and Muhammad Rizwan.

Meanwhile, during special inspection, the police teams arrested a suspect namely Aurangzeb and recovered two pistols and a 12-bore gun with ammunition from his possession. IGP Islamabad Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman appreciated the performance of police teams and announced cash prizes for them all.
