Country records 121 mln passenger trips

BEIJING: China saw its passenger trips top 121 million during the five-day May Day holiday that ended Tuesday. An average of 24.3 million trips were made every day during the holiday, down 53 percent from the same period last year, the MOT said. Total train trips nationwide hit 28.48 million during the period, with average daily trips standing at 5.7 million, according to the MOT.
