ISLAMABAD: A judicial magistrate’s court has adjourned the hearing of a plot fraud case involving Rs 36.3 million in the federal capital after witnesses’ statements could not be recorded and the defence counsel requested more time.
Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah heard the case. The accused woman, Hafsa Parvez, appeared before the court. During the proceedings, the statements of witnesses could not be recorded, and the defence counsel requested time for testimony.
The court adjourned further hearing of the case until July 22.
The accused woman has been booked at Kohsar Police Station under charges of fraud and deception, along with a cheque bounce of Rs 17.8 million.
