ISLAMABAD- It was a very pleasant surprise for senior Pakistani media persons to interact with China’s IDCPC ( International Department of Communist Party of China)Spokesman Mr. Hu Zhaoming, who met with them at the Chinese Embassy here in Islamabad on Tuesday morning, creating a new history by CPC in Pakistan, China Relations as Hu Zhaoming’s visit emerges as the first ever visit to Pakistan by the Spokesman of IDPC as the profile of the IDCPC holds a great importance in global affairs and such visits to foreign countries always bring very loud and clear message about the depth and strength of the ties between China’s Communist Party and the host country, across the world.
Just when global audiences were whispering ambiguity as to why no senior Chinese official has visited Pakistan after the rapid changes in the regional security scenario, the wise Chinese leadership, it now appears, was planning to come up with a new surprise for such elements as they were deciding to send such a unique delegation to Pakistan with the level that has never happened before and which can kill all the whispers just by its composition., creating a new era of friendship and brotherhood in ties with Pakistan. during the visit, the IDCPC’s Working Group, not only interacted with Senior Media Persons but also held a variety of meetings with most relevant Pakistani, politicians, officials and think tanks at the most appropriate level shared messages of goodwill and bilateral importance and exchanges views on almost all the important affairs.
during interaction with Media, Spokesman Hu Zhaoming who was heading the IDCPC’s Working Group, asserted that the CPC, the Chinese government’s NDRC ( National Development and Reforms Commission), the body being custodian of CPEC development and the related Chinese companies, all were very satisfied with the ongoing status of the projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor and said that Beijing was very optimistic about the future and expected spectacular rebuts of the CPEC and that no one should be having any doubts in this regard.
He expressed China’s satisfaction over ” current Peace” situation between Pakistan and India, in a way not being full sure of India not opting to unprovoked aggression against Pakistan in future and said that Beijing always believe that the countries in conflicts must always opt to resolve disputes and eradicate misunderstandings, whatsoever, through dialogues as wars have never been a solution to such matters. He called for more role of Medias from both sides in enhancing people to people contact and to bring both brotherly nations more closer through the soft power of pen. Appreciating the existence of 2-decades old Media cooperation platforms like Pakistan-China Media friendship Association, formed by The Daily Mail back in 2005, IDCPC’s Spokesman urged form more media exchanges and more collaborations, also in the direction of New Media and Digital media platform and offered his organization’s full support and his personal efforts for the cause. He welcomed suggestions from Pakistani side to further improve the ongoing media exercises for the promotion of relations between people of Pakistan and China.
Agencies Add: Citing a Chinese proverb, Hu Zhaoming who is also Director General of the Information and Communication Bureau of the IDCPC stated that China values action over rhetoric. He said they are highly satisfied with the current status of their relationship with Pakistan. He also appreciated Pakistan’s all-out support for China on regional and international issues, particularly at international forums.
Acknowledging past challenges and difficulties in some areas, Hu remarked that these have never been hindered in the repaid growth of their deep-rooted bilateral ties.
He stressed the need for a more secure and stable environment, adding that there had always been room for further improvement of bilateral relationship in all areas of common interests. According to him, without stability and security, economic development cannot be realized.
Hu also underscored the vital role of the media, particularly social media, in advancing mutual goals through constructive analysis. He emphasized that media should come forward further promoting the spirit of friendship and warmth of mutual sentiments at the public level. He highlighted the significance of youth engagement and bilateral exchanges in sustaining the decades-long friendship.
About Pakistani political parties and leaders, he said they had always been on same page on Sino-Pak relationship, especially regarding the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
In response to questions, Hu stated that China supports Pakistan’s positive relations with all countries, including the United States. He added that China encourages the peaceful resolution of disputes between Pakistan and India through dialogue.
