Crackdown against criminals to go on: SSP

ISLAMABAD: SSP Operations Dr.Syed Mustafa Tanveer on Wednesday said that crackdown against criminal elements would continue and efforts were on to eradicate crime from the city.
Reviewing the efforts of Capital Cops to curb activities of anti-social elements, he appreciated the cops and directed them for higher vigilance.
SSP Operations was told that cops arrested 13 outlaws including three proclaimed offenders during past 24 hours and recovered hashish and weapons from their possession. He was told that PS Nilore booked two accused Khawer and Intizar and recovered one SMG and one pistol along with ammunition from their possession respectively.
PS Sihala busted accused Adil and recovered 40 liter alcohol from him. PS Aabpara caught accused Imran Maseeh and recovered 15 liters alcohol from him while PS Tarnol nabbed arrested accused Khayal Gulab and recovered 530 gram hashish from him.
PS Lohibher booked accused Naveed and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him while PS Noon arrested two accused Ameen and Dolat Shah, involved in rash driving. PS Kohsar caught two accused Bader Kareem and Kaleem and recovered two pistols from their possession.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway. Moreover, during Special crackdown against absconders, police teams arrested three proclaimed offenders from various areas of the city who were wanted to police in various crime cases. SSP Operations Syed Mustafa Tanveer appreciated the performance and asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. The SSP also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis.
