ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of ICCPO Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, to encourage the police officials towards healthy activities a friendly cricket match was played between Islamabad Capital Police and Chakwal Police at Police Lines Headquarters Islamabad cricket ground.
Capital Police Officer (CPO) Security Division participated as chief guests, and a large number of Islamabad Capital Police and Chakwal Police officials were also present on the occasion.
Chakwal Police won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 216 runs in 30 overs. The Islamabad Capital police team scored 176 runs. Chakwal Police won the match by 40 runs. Afterwards, the CPO Security Division distributed shields among the players.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir said that the purpose of the cricket match is to motivate the police officials and encourage them towards healthy activities.
Such activities will continue in the future as well, he maintained.
