Cricketers to meet PM Imran Khan to discuss departmental cricket

Lahore: Wasim Akram, Misbah-ul-Haq, Azhar Ali, and Mohammad Hafeez to accompany PCB’s chairman Ehsan Mani and CEO Wasim Khan in a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday.
According to reports, former and cricketers will brief PM Khan over the crisis caused due to closure of departmental cricket. On the other hand, chairman Mani and CEO Khan will discuss cricket matters with the patron-in-chief.
A report on the recently concluded Pakistan vs England tour will also be presented to the cricketer-turned-politician and current Premier. Remember, Pakistan lost Test series 1-0 and leveled the T20I series 1-1.
It must be noted here that departmental cricket was dissolved on special directives of PM Khan as he preferred quality over quantity. The decision to shut down departmental cricket resulted in the closure of several departments and plenty of cricketers and officials lost their jobs. Following cricketers and officials doing odd jobs, PCB faced immense backlash from different quarters. .– Agencies
