Criminals’ gang busted, valuables recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Sumbal station team successfully apprehended two member gang involved in multiple activities of street crime. The accused were identified as Allah Noor and Akhtar Zaib.
Police team also recovered snatched mobile phones and pistols used in the crimes from their possession. The arrests were made as part of a broader crackdown on criminal elements in the capital, following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
During the preliminary investigations, the accused confessed to being involved in numerous criminal activities including targeting pedestrians and shopkeepers at gunpoint. Multiple FIRs are already registered against them, and further investigation is underway.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq emphasized that Islamabad Police is fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and will not allow any criminal activity to disrupt public peace. He urged the public to report suspicious activity immediately to their nearest police station or via the emergency helpline Pucar-15.
