CTO commends officers for effective duties

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of the IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the ITP is ensuring the smooth flow of traffic in the federal capital. Through legal action against lane violations and other offenses, it is improving discipline, further enhancing traffic management in the city, and ensuring comprehensive guidance and assistance to citizens.
In this regard, CTO Islamabad Captain (R) Hamza Humayun, called lifter operators and police officers posted at checkpoints to his office, encouraged them and awarded them certificates of appreciation.


On the occasion, the CTO Islamabad stated that the dedication and hard work of officers and officials in maintaining smooth traffic flow for the convenience of the public is truly commendable.
He added that these officers are driven by a spirit of service and are committed to their duties. He further said that special measures are being taken to make Islamabad safer from traffic accidents and to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow.
Enforcing traffic laws is essential to reducing accidents. The CTO directed all officers to ensure coordination with their subordinate staff and to take strict legal action against those who violate traffic laws.
He also added that, to raise awareness about traffic rules and road safety, the ITP’s awareness teams are regularly present at various intersections and roads to educate the public. Additionally, the Islamabad Traffic Police is providing updates on road safety and traffic regulations, as well as real-time traffic conditions in the capital, through FM Radio 92.4.
