ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the ITP is actively working to ensure smooth traffic flow in the federal capital while also providing guidance and assistance to citizens.
In this regard, CTO Islamabad, Capt. (Retd.) Hamzah Humayun, commended the traffic police officers and officials who performed their duties diligently. He also awarded them certificates of appreciation and cash prizes.
On the occasion, CTO Islamabad stated that the dedication and hard work of the officers and officials in maintaining smooth traffic flow for the convenience of the public is truly commendable.
He added that these officers are driven by a spirit of service and are committed to their duties. He further said that special measures are being taken to make Islamabad safer from traffic accidents and to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow.
Enforcing traffic laws is essential to reducing accidents. The CTO directed all officers to ensure coordination with their subordinate staff and to take strict legal action against those who violate traffic laws.
He added that, to raise awareness about traffic rules and road safety, the ITP’s awareness teams are regularly present at various intersections and roads to educate the public.
Additionally, the Islamabad Traffic Police is providing updates on road safety and traffic regulations, as well as real-time traffic conditions in the capital, through FM Radio 92.4.
