ISLAMABAD: Following the directions of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Captain (retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider, Islamabad Traffic Police has decided to take strict action against traffic violations in the federal capital.
Under this initiative, violators will face immediate and strict legal consequences and vehicles involved in serious violations will be impounded at police stations.
Additionally, drivers without licenses or permits, underage drivers, those involved in lane violations, one-wheeling and overloading will face heavy fines and legal action.
Their vehicles will be immediately impounded at the relevant police stations. Driving without a valid license will not be permitted under any circumstances and cases will be registered against such individuals as per the law.
CTO Islamabad Syed Zeeshan Haider emphasized that no leniency will be shown to drivers who endanger their own lives and those of others. The ITP education wing has also been instructed to educate the public about the dangers of violations and the importance of adhering to laws for their own safety.
He appealed to citizens to strictly follow traffic rules to help protect precious human lives. He further clarified that action will be taken against all violators without discrimination and no concessions will be given as the law is equal for everyone.
He reiterated that ITP with the cooperation of the public is committed to establishing a safe and organized traffic system in the city. Citizens are urged to demonstrate responsible behavior by following the traffic laws.
