ISLAMABAD: The newly appointed Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Pari Gul Tareen, officially assumed charge of her position. On this occasion, SP Traffic Majid Iqbal and senior officers welcomed the new CTO.
Immediately after assuming charge, CTO Pari Gul Tareen held a high-level meeting at the ITP Headquarters. The meeting was attended by SP Traffic, zonal DSPs, and all relevant officers. Senior officers briefed the CTO on the performance and working procedures of the traffic police.
On this occasion, CTO Islamabad stated that traffic congestion points in the federal capital should be identified using modern technology. All available resources should be utilized to manage traffic in an organized manner.
She emphasized intensifying and making ongoing public awareness campaigns about traffic rules more effective with the cooperation of citizens. She further stated that indiscriminate operations against illegal parking in commercial areas of the federal capital should continue on a daily basis.
Strict action must be taken on major city roads against traffic violations, one-wheelers, hooliganism, and illegal parking, with concrete measures implemented.
Special instructions were also issued to improve the performance of the traffic education wing and enhance public awareness. She said that maintaining a coordinated traffic system and providing maximum travel facilities to citizens are among the top priorities of Islamabad Traffic Police.
All officers must fulfill their assigned duties with professionalism and excellence to ensure an organized and efficient traffic management system in Islamabad, she added.
