ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police has taken effective measures to ensure foolproof security and efficient traffic management in the federal capital.
In this regard, CTO Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, accompanied by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, visited various duty points in the city. They met with police officers and officials present on duty.
On this occasion, while reviewing the checking process, they directed the concerned officers to further strengthen and make checkpoints more effective to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property. All officers were directed to remain alert at all times, ensure thorough checking of suspicious individuals and vehicles, and immediately report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
CTO Islamabad also issued directions to ensure effective traffic arrangements on highways and to maintain the smooth flow of traffic throughout the city. Further necessary traffic-related guidelines were also issued to ensure that citizens do not face any difficulties and that traffic flow remains uninterrupted.
Citizens are requested to follow the advisory issued by the traffic police. Islamabad Traffic Police remains present on the roads at all times to guide and facilitate the public.
He further stated that all officers and officials should treat citizens with courtesy and respect to strengthen the bond of trust between the police and the public. The protection of citizens’ lives and property is the top priority of Islamabad Police, and all security measures are being taken with this objective.
