ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops’ PS Industrial Area has arrested two members of dacoit gang who looted citizens at gunpoint and recovered two motorbikes, looted cash, mobile phones, ornaments and weapon use in crime from them, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminal elements. Following these orders, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Following these directions, SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmed Sheikh constituted a team to ensure arrest of those involved in it. This team headed by ASP Zohaib Ranjaha including SHO Industrial-Area police station Sub- Inspector Main Khurram Shehzad and others worked hard and succeeded to arrest two members who committing dacoity at gun point.
The nabbed dacoit has been identified as Abid Masih and Mehboob Zaki and police recovered 02 motorbikes, cash, ornaments, mobile phones and weapons from their possession. During the entitle interrogation they confessed involved in dacoit of retired Navel commander and also several dacoity and street crime incident in twin cities.
Cases have been registered against them and further investigation is underway from them. DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
