DC Faisalabad chairs District Peace Committee meeting

Faisalabad: The meeting of the District Peace Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali in the Committee Room of DC Office in which Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Khurram Pervez and other officers were present alongwith Sahibzada Faiz Rasool Rizwi, Allama Riaz Kharal, Syed Jaffar Naqvi, Dr. Iftikhar Naqvi, Abdul Rashid, Mumtaz Hussain, Aslam Bhalli, Mian Tanveer Riaz and other religious scholars were also present.
Welcoming the members of District Peace Committee, Deputy Commissioner said that Ulma of all sects gave a much support during the holy month of Ramzan and implemented corona SOPs and district administration was thankful to them for this extraordinary support.
He also thanked the business community for their cooperation in making the Ramadan bazaars successfull with the help of which the essential items were available on discount rates to the consumers in the Ramadan bazaars and general markets and the buyers were satisfied with these steps. He appealed to the religious scholars to continue teaching love, peace, good manners, tolerance and morality to the people from the pulpit.
Giving details of the implementation, precautionary and preventive measures, he said that precaution was necessary in such a situation, so to ensure full implementation of SOPs in future also.
In this regard, carpets should be lifted and prayers should be offered on the floor within social distance. Deputy Commissioner said adding that we should be a responsible citizen. He said that the excellent services rendered by the members of the Peace Committee for maintaining the atmosphere of social peace and religious tolerance were commendable and the scholars of all schools of thought in Faisalabad district were united.
Expressing solidarity with the Palestinians, he said that the government is raising its voice against the oppression of the oppressed Palestinian brothers at every forum and we strongly condemn the oppression on the Palestinian Muslims and will not leave the Palestinian brothers alone at any cost. Their moral and diplomatic support will continue. The religious scholars appreciated the arrangements made from district administration during holy month and said that the support would remain continuing with the district and police administration for the establishment of law and order in the district. They strongly condemned the atrocities committed by Israel against Palestinian Muslims and called on the United Nations to immediately stop human rights violations. At the end of the meeting, prayers were offered for the development and prosperity of the country and the nation, protection from the current wave of Corona epidemic and liberation of Palestinians and Kashmiris.
