FAISALABAD: The Divisional Commissioner Zahid Hussain has said that provision of maximum economic relief to the masses and further arrangements have been made for providing essential commodities on reduced prices during the holy month of Ramzan. He was inspecting Ramzan Bazars established at different areas of the city and appreciated district government for overall arrangements.
The Commissioner visited Ramzan Bazar set up at Riaz Shahid Chowk, Susan road Faizan e Madina and other located in the city.
He took a detailed round in these Bazars and checked the quality and prices of fruits, vegetables and other grocery items. He also inspected the counters of cheap sugar , flour and observed the sale process. He directed that the transparent sale of subsidized items should be ensured on proper record of sale be kept in order. The Commissioner also checked the stalls of meat & poultry. He interacted with the consumers and asked from them about the benefits and arrangements of the Ramzan Bazars. He said that consumers confidence was a success of these bazaars. He expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements of Ramzan Bazars and directed that the best arrangements should be maintained throughout this month.It was informed to the Commissioner that 19- Ramzan Bazars had been set up in the district and comprehensive mechanism was being followed for the supply of essential commodities, while fair price shops was also part of these bazaars and considerable subsidy was being provided on different items on these stalls.
