Departmental Promotion Committee meeting held for officer promotions

ISLAMABAD: The process of promoting police officers to higher ranks in Islamabad Police is ongoing. In this regard, a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee was held under the leadership of AIG Logistics Syed Ali Inayat Ali Shah.
The committee thoroughly examined the past records and performance of all constables. Only those with good service records and who met the required criteria were recommended for promotion to the rank of Head Constable. These recommendations have been forwarded to senior officers for approval. Following the approval of senior police officers notifications for the promotions will be officially issued.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi directed the Departmental Promotion Committee to continue the promotion process without delay.
He instructed that another meeting be held soon to ensure promotions are made against all vacant posts, ensuring officers and personnel receive their rightful due.
He emphasized that departmental promotion is the basic right of every police officer. All officers who have passed the required departmental courses will be promoted to vacant posts according to their seniority and this process will continue until all vacant positions are filled.
He further stated that with promotion comes increased responsibility. You have dedicated a major part of your service to the police department. Every officer in the police force is my hero, who remains committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens in harsh conditions while being away from their families. I am proud of them, he added.
