ISLAMABAD: A prestigious Eid-ul-Adha luncheon was arranged at the Islamabad Traffic Police Headquarters, where Director General Safe City / DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya participated as the chief guest.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, along with the DG Safe City / DIG Traffic, shared the Eid meal with officers and officials, exchanged Eid greetings, embraced each other, and celebrated the festive occasion together. On this occasion, the spirit of service and professional dedication of the traffic police officers and officials was highly appreciated.
Later, CTO Islamabad visited various duty points and met traffic officers and officials who were performing their duties even on Eid day. He encouraged the officials by embracing them, distributed refreshments, and paid rich tribute to their services.
Speaking on the occasion, CTO Islamabad said, “These are the dedicated officers whose tireless efforts and sacrifices are enabling citizens to celebrate a peaceful and joyful Eid. These officers prioritized public service over celebrating Eid with their families, and the entire force is proud of them.”
Meanwhile, Islamabad Traffic Police has devised a special and effective traffic management plan to ensure smooth traffic flow and provide safe and better travel facilities to citizens during Eid-ul-Adha in the federal capital. More than 400 traffic officers and officials have been deployed on major roads, recreational spots, parks, and tourist areas across the city to facilitate citizens in every possible way.
CTO Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk stated that under a zero-tolerance policy against hooliganism, one-wheeling, over-speeding, and dangerous driving, special squads are actively deployed on various highways, and no reckless individual will be allowed to endanger the lives and property of citizens.
He further said that families traveling towards tourist destinations are being provided with full traffic assistance to ensure uninterrupted and safe journeys.
CTO Islamabad appealed to citizens to follow traffic rules, park their vehicles and motorcycles only at designated parking areas, and act as responsible citizens while traveling.
He further added that in case of any emergency or traffic-related guidance, citizens may immediately contact the “Traffic Helpline 1915” or “Pucar 15.”
