ISLAMABAD: DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq presided over an important meeting to review the overall crime and security situation in the federal capital.
The meeting was attended by SSP Operations Islamabad Muhammad Shoaib Khan, SSP CTD, AIG General & Development, zonal SPs, SP Dolphin & Patrolling, and other senior officers. The participants discussed crime prevention strategies and assessed the prevailing security environment.
DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq issued strict instructions to all officers, reiterating that a zero-tolerance policy would be implemented against unregistered and without number plate vehicles and motorcycles.
He directed that a comprehensive and effective crackdown be carried out immediately to prevent their use in criminal activities. He emphasized that all available resources must be mobilized to ensure the arrest of criminals involved in heinous crimes such as murder, attempted murder, robbery, and street crimes. He also ordered targeted operations against proclaimed offenders and active members of criminal gangs.
He further directed that patrolling units be made more effective and purposeful, ensuring their constant presence in the field. He stressed that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is the foremost priority of Islamabad Police.
He categorically stated that negligence or carelessness in duty would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He reaffirmed the Islamabad Police’s commitment to maintaining law and order, upholding the rule of law, and restoring public confidence in the force.
