DIG chairs security meeting

ISLAMABAD: DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq chaired an important meeting, regarding the foolproof security measures ahead of Christmas. The meeting was attended by SSP Investigation Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt, SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and other senior officers.
The meeting reviewed ongoing operations against criminal elements, the overall security situation in the federal capital, and special security arrangements for Christmas and related religious activities.
The DIG Islamabad directed that all available resources be utilised to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property, while also promoting religious harmony.
He instructed officers to further strengthen police patrolling, enhance security at sensitive locations, and remain fully prepared to deal with any untoward situation in a timely and effective manner.
Emphasising vigilance, the DIG said that Islamabad Police would remain alert and proactive to maintain peace and ensure a secure environment for all communities during the festive period. He reaffirmed the commitment of Islamabad Police to safeguard the public and uphold interfaith harmony across the federal capital.
