ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Ali Waseem visited the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Headquarters, where he met with officers and officials and received a detailed briefing on counter-terrorism measures, intelligence-based operations, and ongoing investigative and operational matters.
On the occasion, the DIG Islamabad was briefed in detail on the overall performance of the Counter-Terrorism Department, ongoing operations against terrorist elements, intelligence-based operations, the prevailing security situation, and other important investigative and operational matters.
DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem directed that operations against terrorist and criminal elements be further strengthened, intelligence-based operations be enhanced along modern lines, and modern technology be utilized to improve the effectiveness of counter-terrorism efforts.
He stressed the need to further strengthen coordination and develop a well-coordinated strategy among all relevant departments and law enforcement agencies for effective action against terrorism.
Later, a Zoom meeting was held under the chairmanship of DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem with officers of the Islamabad Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and relevant officers from other provinces.
The meeting reviewed the overall performance of CTD, counter-terrorism measures, the security situation, intelligence-based operations, and matters relating to inter-provincial coordination.
The DIG Islamabad directed that counter-terrorism measures be further strengthened, effective monitoring of terrorist, criminal and suspicious elements be ensured, and operations against such elements be accelerated.
He further directed all concerned officers to utilize all available resources effectively to protect the lives and property of citizens and ensure peace and security in Isla
