ISLAMABAD: DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq held an important meeting at his office. The meeting was attended by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and all SHOs.
On this occasion, the DIG Islamabad issued strict directives for the security of the city and the protection of the public, and also ordered immediate action against illegally residing Afghan nationals.
He directed all officers to carry out an indiscriminate crackdown against active gangs involved in serious crimes. He said that effective actions should be taken against groups involved in car and motorcycle theft. Patrolling and checking in the city should be made purposeful.
He further stated that, there is solid evidence of illegally residing individuals being involved in crimes. There is a zero-tolerance policy against land-grabbers, illegal weapons, and drug dealers. All officers should resolve citizens’ issues on a priority basis and remain active in the field to maintain peace and tranquility in the city, he added.
