ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have reactivated the public conciliatory committees to ensure immediate and merit-based solutions to citizens’ concerns. DIG Islamabad stated that these committees will operate 24/7 at the police station level, providing prompt resolutions for citizens’ issues.
Addressing the ceremony at Shalimar Police Station, DIG Islamabad emphasized that the public conciliatory committees are designed to separate personal matters from police station duties and offer relief to citizens. He further highlighted that this initiative will save valuable time for both the police and the judiciary.
DIG Islamabad further emphasized that the committees will help resolve minor issues at the local level, enabling citizens to find quick solutions without the need for formal police intervention. These public conciliatory committees are based on key values of transparency, impartiality, and merit. “The members of the public conciliatory committees include citizens from all walks of life,” he added.
DIG Islamabad assured that the protection of citizens’ rights and the resolution of their problems remain top priorities for the Islamabad Police.
