DIG Security for timely completion of welfare, development projects

ISLAMABAD: DIG Security Islamabad Rana Umar Farooq reviewed ongoing development projects, police welfare initiatives and measures being taken to provide better facilities to officers and officials of Islamabad Police.
During the visit, DIG Security received a detailed briefing from the concerned officers on the progress of ongoing development projects, construction works and welfare facilities being provided to police officials. Detailed discussions were also held regarding the progress, quality and timely completion of various projects.
DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq said that officers and officials of Islamabad Police perform their duties around the clock to protect the lives and property of citizens and maintain law and order in the capital. Therefore, the welfare of the police force, improved residential facilities and provision of basic amenities remain among the key priorities of Islamabad Police.
He directed the concerned officers to ensure that all ongoing development projects for police officials are completed within the stipulated timelines. He emphasized that quality, transparency and durability must be ensured in all construction works, while effective monitoring of the projects should also be maintained throughout their execution. DIG Security further said that practical measures would continue to be taken under the police welfare initiatives to provide better facilities to officers, officials and their families.
Available resources would be utilized effectively to improve police accommodation, offices, rest areas, mess facilities and other essential amenities.
He said that a satisfied, capable and committed police force can provide effective and high-quality security services to citizens. Ensuring the welfare of officers and officials not only contributes to improving their professional performance but also helps enhance the overall quality of police services.
DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq said that Islamabad Police is taking further steps to expand development and welfare initiatives alongside promoting modern, effective and public-friendly policing in the capital. He directed the concerned officers to ensure all necessary measures for the timely completion of welfare and development projects.
