DIG Security orders robust measures across Capital

ISLAMABAD: DIG Security Muhammad Atique Tahir held an important meeting to finalize security arrangements for the events and gatherings being organized in the federal capital on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birthday and Christmas.
The meeting was attended by AIG Special Branch Muhammad Sarfraz Virk along with senior officers of the Security division. During the meeting, the overall security situation and effective preventive measures to maintain peace and tranquility during public gatherings were discussed in detail.
DIG Security directed the officers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated security arrangements at the venues of events and gatherings, to enforce strict checking at entry and exit points, and to utilize modern security resources.
He emphasized that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is the top priority of Islamabad Police, and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
It was also decided in the meeting that additional personnel will be deployed at sensitive locations, the surveillance system will be further strengthened, and all officers and personnel will remain on high alert to ensure that all events are held in a peaceful environment.
