ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG)Islamabad Ali Wasim and SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza visited various police stations, mosques, Imambargahs, and duty points across the city to review security arrangements, police duties, and facilities being provided to citizens.
During his visit to Industrial Area Police Station and Sabzi Mandi Police Station, DIG Islamabad Ali Wasim inspected the front desk, record room, lock-up, mosque, mess, and other sections. He also met with citizens and listened to their concerns, directing officers to ensure timely and effective redressal of public complaints.
He directed officers to conclude under-investigation cases on merit without unnecessary delay, keep police station records updated, take effective action against proclaimed offenders and previously convicted criminals, and intensify operations against active criminal gangs. He emphasized that merit, transparency, and impartiality must be ensured in investigations at all costs, while misuse of authority would not be tolerated.
Meanwhile, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza visited various mosques, Imambargahs, and duty points on the occasion of Friday prayers. He reviewed security arrangements and encouraged the officers and personnel deployed on duty.
SSP Operations Islamabad directed police officers to remain fully alert and perform their duties with responsibility and dedication to protect the lives and property of citizens, maintain effective surveillance, and ensure law and order. He also directed senior officers to personally inspect security duties, properly brief the deployed personnel, and ensure the availability of necessary equipment.
Police officers were further directed to maintain a courteous and responsible attitude toward citizens while ensuring effective policing and prompt action.
